Hydraulic Wire-line Valve (BOP)
Purpose
To seal and hold pressure from below and enable isolation and release of Well pressure from the lubricator without closing well-bore valves.
Description
The wire-line valve (BOP) main body is manufactured in the form of a cross with a vertical through-bore to allow the use of wire-line tools. The top and bottom connections take standard 4-3/4 Bowen Quick Union connections, but also, customer specified connections can be done as requested.
The horizontal ends are wire-line valve (BOP) ram housings. The rams can be moved in and out of the housing hydraulically.
Located on the face of the wireline valve body, is a manifold with an equalizing assembly valve and a pump in port. By slightly opening the equalizing valve, pressure from the well-bore is allowed to the lubricator with the rams closed.
