Lubricator
Purpose
The purpose of a Lubricator is to contain wire-line tool-strings during rig up, and wire-line operations when entering the well-bore and returning back to surface.
Description
The Lubricator used in conjunction with a wire-line valve (BOP), is made up of a tubing threaded on both ends to accept hand union subs. This lubricator comes in standard size; from 4 through 12-foot lengths, but also in customer specified lengths.
Standard Lubricator sizes on slick-line service units are 2.441” and 2.992” internal diameter (ID). The top and bottom connections are 4-3/4 Bowen Union, but also, customer specified connections can be done as requested.
An optional bleed off port may be incorporated into the lubricator assembly. This is a ½” NPT port added to the bottom union sub.
